At YWAX, we offer face and body waxing for all hair and skin types. Our experienced therapists work quickly and carefully to keep treatments as comfortable as possible. We use both hot wax and strip wax, and choose the best option for each area.
Hot wax or strip wax is applied to the skin then removed to lift hair from the root.
Most clients stay smooth for 3–6 weeks depending on growth cycles. If you stay consistent with appointments, you’ll usually notice softer regrowth and reduced density over time.

For best results, please follow these prep tips:
• Hair length should be about a grain of rice (approx 0.5–1cm)
• If you’ve shaved, allow 2–3 weeks of growth before your appointment
• Clean skin is best: shower before and lightly exfoliate the day before
• Skip heavy creams or oils on the day of your appointment
• If you trim at home, keep it conservative so hair is still long enough to wax effectively
• For facial waxing, please tell us about any active skincare or prescription topicals you’re using
To keep your skin calm and prevent ingrowns:
• Take a cool or lukewarm shower and apply a soothing product if the skin feels tender (Laser Aid works great)
• Avoid tight clothing, heavy workouts, heat, pools and saunas for 24 hours
• Avoid perfumed moisturisers and active ingredients on the area for 24–48 hours
• Begin gentle exfoliation after 3 days, then repeat twice weekly to help prevent ingrowns

• Do not shave between waxes, stay on a regular schedule for the best results
